First of all I welcome all stakeholders (Students, Parents, Alumni, Experts from Academia and Industries etc.) for their active involvement in all activities of the institution and contributing their valuable time, support, views and suggestions time to time for delivering the best by our institution.

I take this auspicious occasion for introducing myself. I, Dr. R. Sasikumar, B.E, M.E, Ph.D., have taken over the duties and responsibilities of Principal – Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College Salem from 12th Jul 2021 onwards. I thank management for giving me an opportunity to serve the stakeholders of Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College Salem and Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation, Deemed to be University Salem up to their satisfactory level in all aspects of holistic education and conversion of a student into a matured law abiding person of the society with multi-dimensional and focussed technological approach towards solving problems and providing solutions for the comfort of all including underprivileged sections of the society and thereby contributing towards economic growth of our beloved country India.

Observing the latest trends of industries, the institution has already initiated programmes on emerging areas like Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Internet of things, Robotics, 3D Printing etc. for making the students ready for placement in industries immediately after completion of their engineering programmes. The institution has taken initiative to equip all the laboratories with high end research equipments in order to foster research and also to develop an eco-system for Innovation and Entrepreneurship through Start-ups and commercializing the innovative product in the market.

I want to assure all stakeholders that the institution will do its best in academic as well as in non-academic activities from everyone for transforming the student into a good and respectable citizen of India.
