One day hands on Workshop on Introduction to MATLAB and Simulink, organized by Dept of ECE, on 28 Aug 2019

One day hands on workshop on Introduction to Matlab & Simulink was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering & Department of Biomedical Engineering, Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College, Salem in association with IEEE AESS Madras section, at Annapoorna Hitech laboratory-1 on 28.08.2019. The programme was inaugurated with the prayer song followed by the lightning of Kuthuvizhakku. Dr.T.Muthumanickam HOD/ECE welcomed the dignitaries, Principal Dr. A. Nagappan delivered the presidential address and Dr.P.Selvam HOD/EEE, presented the felicitation address. About 102 students and 8 faculty members have participated from various departments of several colleges including Sona College of Technology, Annapoorana College of Engineering, Vivekananda College, Anna University Trichy Campus, Muthayammal Engineering College, Kalainagar Karunanithi Engineering College, Kongunadu College of Engineering, Er.Perumal Manimekalai College of Engineering, etc. The resource persons Dr.T.Sheela, Dr.S.Valarmathy, Dr.R.Ramani, Prof.R.Ezhilan are the faulty members from ECE and BME departments of Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College, trained the participants in Matlab fundamentals, Image Processing Workflow and Simulink with Hands-on sessions. The workshop ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr.S.Selvaraju, Associate Professor/ECE and certificates were distributed. Outcome: The workshop created a platform for the learners to explore more about the Matlab fundamentals, Image processing tools and Simulink. The participants were able to develop programs and mini projects through this Matlab workshop.
