Teachers Day Celebrations, organized by Dept of ECE & Biomedical Engineering, on 05 Sep 2019

We celebrate Teachers’ day every year throughout the country on 5th September. Students express their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers on this day. This day is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan – second President of India. The great academic philosopher, and one of the most well known diplomats, scholar, president of India and above all he is a teacher. As a tribute to this great teacher, his birthday has been observed as teachers' day. Teachers day was celebrated by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering & Department of Biomedical Engineering, Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College, Salem. The program was started at 2.30pm in main block first floor lobby. We invited our Principal Dr.A.Nagappan and our faculty members from all departments who were taken class for us and also our fresher’s. Welcome address was given by Ms.Aishwarya, third year Biomedical Engineering student. We honored our teaching and non teaching faculties by a small memento. Our student Nandhini & Kaviya from final year & first year biomedical students gave a valuable speech about our former president Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. We gave a pleasant surprise for our faculty members by singing a song by Srinivas from final year Biomedical engineering student and 1st year biomedical student performed a wonderful mimicry. They conducted various events for our faculty members like Musical Chair, Throwing Ball into the Cup etc. Musical chair was conducted separately for both male and female faculty members and the event was won by Dr.C.Arunkumar Madhuvappan & Dr.S.Valarmathy. Finally our HOD Dr.T.Muthumanickam gave a valuable speech about ‘TEACHER’S DAY’. The students took great effort and ensured that teachers enjoy every minute. The efforts of students were appreciated by teachers thus making the event a grand success.
