Swatchh Bharat Summer Internship Programme (SBSI), on 24 Jul 2019

In line with the cleanness drive launched by Honourable Prime Minister, NCC units comprising of Officers and Cadets are participating and contributing their best in promoting Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to all citizens of India especially to the people living in rural areas.

NCC unit of Vinayaka Mission’s Kriupananda Variyar Engineering College has organized a programme called Swachh Bharat summer Internship (SBSI) commencing from 24th July 2019 for creating awareness to the people residing in Periyaseeragapadi village near to the Institution. Dr. A. Nagappan, Principal, Vinayaka Mission’s Kriupananda Variyar Engineering College, flagged off the internship programme and wishes them all the best in achieving their targets. Dr. P. Selvam, NSS programme Coordinator, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University) Salem, encouraged and actively participated in the event.

NCC Cadets and Officers involved in the cleanliness activities like segregation and disposal of village waste, street cleanliness, maintenance of drainages, awareness for diseases etc., with volunteers from village. The activities were supervised and guided by Nehru Yuva Kendra Officers, Lt S. Kannan, Associate NCC officer and Assistant Professor in Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mr. R. Chandrasekar, Assistant professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering, Vinayaka Mission’s Kriupananda Variyar Engineering College.

The internship programme will be continuing on a periodical basis and is decided to conduct monthly once in villages in and around the Institution.
