MEMS Technology - 2019

One day Seminar on "MEMS" Technology was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College, Salem in association with IEEE AESS Madras section on 31.07.2019. The programme was inaugurated with the prayer song followed by the lightning of Kuthuvizhakku. Dr.T.Muthumanickam HOD/ECE welcomed the dignitaries and Principal Dr.A.Nagappan delivered the presidential address. The Resource person of the program is Mr.Kaustubh Kumar Shukla, (Alumni of 2007 - 2011 Batch) Assistant Professor, Dept. of ECE, Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.

About 60 Students have participated from various colleges in and around Salem. The resource person trained the participants in Bio-MEMS and Microsystems, Transducers, MEMS Applications, COMSOL Multi Physics, Modeling Process using COMSOL Software. The Seminar sessions ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Prof.B.Rajasekaran, Associate Professor/ECE followed by Certificate distributions. The arrangements for the program is done by Dr.N.Manikanda Devarajan, Mr.C.Arunkumar Madhuvappan, Mr.G.Sureshkumar, Mr.G.Ramachandran and faculty members of ECE Department.

Outcome:
The Students have grasped the basic concept of MEMS technology & Applications, Challenges and opportunities in MEMS. And aware of modeling process using COMSOL Software for simulation purposes through this seminar.
