Inauguration of “Entrepreneurship Development Program”, for students and youth belonging to Salem district, on 03 - 17 Feb 2020

As part of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of Salem Productivity Council, (SPC) the council have decided to promote Entrepreneurship among the students and unemployed youth in Salem district. The Salem Productivity Council, Salem in association with Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation, Salem have sponsored fund to organize the “Entrepreneurship Development Program” at Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College as Knowledge partner. In this regard sixty students have been selected by conducting interview followed by a written test at SPC. The identified students were taken for 10 days training on “Entrepreneurship Development Program” at Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College, Salem a constituent college of Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation, Salem from 03.02.2020 to 17.02.2020. The Inauguration of the “Entrepreneurship Development Program” was held on 03.02.2020 at 10.00 am at Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College, Salem. Dr. A.Nagappan, Principal, VMKVEC, has welcomed the gathering and highlighted the various opportunities in MSME schemes for the upcoming entrepreneurs through incubator of VMKVEC. The chief guest of the program was Mr. P.Jayaprakash, MD, KNOVONAT, Salem have shared his experience and highlighted the importance of the entrepreneurs. Then Dr. C.S.Ramanigopal, President, Salem Productive Council, Salem delivered the key note address which emphasised the importance of the program. The Registrar of VMRFDU Prof. Dr. B.Jayakar pointed out the need of the program for the existing students and the unemployed youths along with opportunities for new Startup. Dr. V.Anbalagan, Principal, VMKVA&SC, Salem felicitated the participants and described the ability towards the innovation. After successful completion of the training program the students will be assisted by the members of the SPC in association with District Industrial Center, Salem and the banks to avail financial support based on the eligibility of the project to Start Up a business.
