Industry - Institute Interaction, organized by Dept. of Pharmaceutical Engineering, on 05 Nov 2019

An industry-institute interaction was organized by the Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering, Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College, Salem-636308, Tamil Nadu on 05th November 2019. Mr.Easuraja Arputham, Managing Director of three of the Malaysian companies Herbal remedies (M) Sdn., Aerotech Innovative Sdn., Univet supplies (M) Sdn. and Mr.Jeyaprakash, Managing Director, Knovonat, a vet & pet care product manufacturer from India were the industrial experts involved in this meet. Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College a total of 09 faculties from Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Department of Biotechnology were participated and discussed on various aspects respect to academic and research. Mr.Easuraja Arputham explained the Aerosol technology. Using naturally available compounds such as turmeric and neem oil he formulated a spray which helped in curing diseases caused by maggots. He also elaborated the research problems unaddressed in this field. Few of such research problems were accepted by faculty members to find solution for such issues. Mr.Jeyaprakash gave a talk on the significance & importance of Indian herbs. He emphasized that consumption of herbal formulations to avoid side effects and adverse reactions. In addition, in this meet, both the industrial experts agreed to offer an industrial elective/ Technical Skill Development Programme on Aerosol Technology to the students of both the departments in their B.E / B.Tech programme under 2017 regulation.
