Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing using MATLAB and SIMULINK

Two days Faculty Development Programme titled “Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing using MATLAB and SIMULINK” was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering & Department of Biomedical Engineering, Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College, Salem in association with IEEE AESS Madras section and Mathworks was conducted at Annapoorna Hitech laboratory on 23.07.2019 & 24.07.2019. The programme was inaugurated with the prayer song followed by the lightning of Kuthuvizhakku. Dr.T.Muthumanickam HOD/ECE welcomed the dignitaries, Principal Dr.A.Nagappan delivered the presidential address and Dr.P.Selvam HOD/EEE, felicitated the gathering. Er.D.Rajkumar, Application Engineer, Design Tech Systems Ltd(Mathworks)-Chennai, handled the programme. About 55 faculty members have participated from various departments of several colleges in and around Salem. The resource person trained the participants in Developing and deploying Machine Learning Algorithm, Deep Learning Applications: Challenges and Solutions, Hands-on session (Deep Learning Onramp), Developing and Deploying Analytics for IoT Systems using Matlab & Simulink, Image Processing and Computer Vision with MATLAB and Simulink. The two days sessions ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr.S.Valarmathy, Associate Professor/ECE followed by certificate distribution. The programme was arranged by Dr.T.Sheela, Dr.R.Ramani, Mr.R.Ezhilan and other faculty members of ECE & BME Department. Outcome: The faculty members can able to write a coding and attended the online test which is conducted by Mathworks - Deep Learning Onramp and certified after evaluation. And also the respective departments faculties have been work in the software for their research findings and get the simulation results to publish their paper in journals.
