The central library aims at an excellent storehouse of knowledge by providing an easy access to information resources for technical learning and research community. It is also committed to user focus services, fairness, and innovation, professional integrity and social responsibility
MISSION
Central library makes maximum use of reliable, with focus on the needs of educational and research activities of our students. It maintains a close relationship with students and faculties to co-ordinate the range of academic information and other related services
The Library contributes to the fulfilment of the Vinayaka missions University by:
- Selecting, acquiring, organising, maintaining and making accessible a collection of printed and non-printed, primary and secondary materials that will support the educational, research and public service programmes of both students and the faculty
- Responding to the varying needs of the academic community by involving the faculty, the students and the administration in the development and periodic assessment of the library services and resources
- Providing library users with point-of-use instruction, personal assistance in conducting literature research and other reference services
- Providing an environment conducive to the optimum use of library materials and an appropriate schedule of hours of service and professional assistance
- Participating in overall computing resources plan and providing for full library utilization of automation technology, physical facilities and equipment adequate to process, catalogue and store the materials.
- Enhancing the library's resources and services through cooperative relationship with other libraries and agencies.
 Annapoorna Central library has been built to International standard. It is consists of three floors within an area of 15000 Sqft. and centrally Air-conditioned; specialized collections of Books, Journals and Non-book materials are available in Engineering and Technology, Biotechnology, and Humanities and Sciences.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
Open access system is followed in the Library
- Strict and absolute silence shall be observed in the Library.
- Cell Phone to be switched off inside the Library.
- Bags, Big handbags, Raincoat, Jerkin and Casual wears are strictly prohibited inside the library.
- No reader shall take any printed materials inside the Library. Members are requested to keep their belongings at the entrance of the Library. However they are advised not to leave cell phones, purse, money, credit card and other valuables in the handbag outside the library. These items are liable to be lost.
- Library users are strictly prohibited from taking the borrowed and stamped books again inside the library.
- If the due date falls on a holiday for the Library, the next working day will be taken as the due date.
- Books will be issued to the members only on producing the identity card.
- If any book is lost or damaged beyond repair, the person responsible shall replace it with a new copy or pay triple the cost of the recent price and handling charges or as may be decided by the librarian.
- Books will not be issued to students on the Membership Card of staff members.
- Books will be issued subject to availability only.
- No sub-lending of books is permitted. Any kind of marking, underlining, clipping of books is absolutely forbidden. Readers shall be held responsible for any damage done to the book belonging to the Library and shall be required to replace such book or pay the value thereof.
- Absence from the college will not be allowed as an excuse for the delay in the return of books.
- Under special circumstances, the Librarian may refuse the issue of books or recall the books already issued from any member without assigning any reason thereof.
- The following conditions are to be followed for the renewal of books.
- The book has to be produced in the Library for renewal.
- Two times renewal will be allowed.
- No remainders will be issued to individuals but consolidated list of defaulters will be displayed in the library notice board.
- The borrower will be responsible for any loss or non-return of any books issued against his / her
- Reference books, Newspapers, Magazines, Journals should not be taken out.
- The Library may accept donation of manuscripts, books, periodicals etc. from the donors. Such donations once accepted will become the absolute property of the Institute.
- Library timings details of fine structure are displayed on the Library Notice Boards.
- Browsing at Library is limited to accessing on-line Subscribed journals only.
Note: The above rules are intended to regulate the use of Library resources and will be reviewed periodically to meet the Changing needs. .
Any changes in the rules or instructions or information to members will be notified on the Library Notice Board as and when required.

Book Issue System
- Books can be borrowed using the membership register number issued to each member.
- An overdue fine of Re.2.00 per day is charged for each book kept beyond the due date.
- Books on loan can be renewed unless other members reserve them.
Loss or Damage of Books
Members are responsible for the damage/loss of books issued to them. Marking or underlining the text, tearing away pages, soiling books by water, dust, oil etc., are treated as damage.
Loss/Damage of books shall be reported immediately to the Librarian in written. The member should compensate for the damaged/lost book by replacing it with a new copy, failing which he/she has to remit triple the price of the lost book or the cost of acquiring a new one, which ever is higher. Till the period, the Member should pay the fine.
No Due Certificate
No due certificate from the Librarian is required for all students and staff members who permanently leave from the College.
LIBRARY SECTIONS
Acquisition Section : Acquisition Section of the Library deals with purchase of books, Reference books, Text Books Serial Publication and Multi-Volume Books. After receiving Book Indents for purchase of books, checking duplicates, placing order, receiving and entering the books with a serial number in the Accession register of the Library and the Budget control etc.,
Technical Section:
The technical section is also one of the Local Area Network. The database building for all the books and other related documents such CDs, DVD’s, projects, thesis and dissertation etc. The technical processing includes classification, cataloguing and assigning subject headings, indexing, data entry checking and physical processing etc of every book other documents purchased, be it ordered. When all these operations are completed the books are released from the technical section to the new arrival area and stack area for shelving. Library follows Dewey decimal classification for classification and AACR2 for cataloguing.
Periodical Section:
This section processes the journal subscriptions, renewals, orders payments/advances every year. Regulates the shelf arrangement of the current journals displays recent arrivals daily, subscribes mostly directly.

and also the back volumes of national and internationals titles available in the bound form.
Circulation Section:
This is the front end of the library operations providing the lending services to the library users. All the functions of this section are partially automated and the transactions in this section. This is sections is connected over the LAN, through OPAC the users can access the data using their register number form any where on the campus to know books borrowed by them and they can reserve a book, if the status of the book is on loan.
Stack Area and Maintenance Section:
The stack Area containing all the books related science and engineering and technology, communication and social science collections including value education, spiritual and yoga sciences. The reading tables are provided for reference work. The returning of books from the circulation section other reading table books are being shelved and replaced by the attendants every day apart from cleaning.
CD/DVD Section:
The select CD/ DVD and cassettes are available in this section. Interested member can use this facility
LIBRARY OFFIECE: Most of the functions in the office are partially automated formulation of budget proposals and monitoring the expenditure. Settlement of bills advances etc. Purchase of library equipments and other materials needed for library operation and management and maintenance of stock, assets and consumable registers including stock verification. Highly qualified, efficient librarians ensure the best possible information services.
LIBRARY COLLECTION: Standard textbooks and reference books by well-known authors are stocked, and every effort is made to obtain all titles recommended by the faculty. Multiple copies of popular books are bought to make them available to as many students as possible. A copier facility is also available in the library

Partially automated for day-to-day operations, the library has a server and 36 clients. Books CDs a variety of topics, including engineering, computers and other disciplinary are available.
- All library facilities, supported by expert assistance, are available for students and staff from (9.00 a.m. to (9.00P.M. every day.)

All students, faculty members and employees of the institute are eligible for the membership of the library.
