The Hindu Business Line Club Lecture Series program -2011-12 was inaugurated by Mr. Veerappaji B.S, Educational & Research – Infosys Technologies Ltd, Chennai & Mr. R. Premanand, Regional Manager for the benefit of Management students.
SPARK – 2012, a brain child Program of Infosys has been conducted jointly by Infosys, Chennai and VMKV Engineering College, Salem, to inspire young students to pursue studies in Science and Engineering and become part of IT revolution. About 4000 school children of +2 Standard from various schools in and around Salem, Dharmapuri and Namakkal Districts participated and got benefited.
Exilant Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, conducted Campus drive at VMKV Engineering College on 19 & 20th January 2012. It was opened for all Engineering College final year students. About 1000 students attended the drive and underwent the rigorous selection process.
Fourth Graduation Day:
Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College, Seeragapadi, Salem a constituent College of Vinayaka Mission University, conducted its Fourth Graduation Day at Annapoorani Auditorium at 12:00 Noon on 30.08.2011, Tuesday under the benevolence of Honourable Chancellor Dr .A .Shanmugasundaram and Madam Chancellor Srimathi Annapoorani Shanmugasundaram.
Dr .A. Nagappan, Principal, VMKVEC ,welcomed the august gathering and introduced the chief guest Mr. J. Jayaramakrishnan, Vice President Head – Global Alliances, TATA Consultancy Services, TCS Ltd, Chennai and other dignitaries on the dais.
Mr. J. Jayaramakrishnan, Vice President Head – Global Alliances, TATA Consultancy Services, TCS Ltd, Chennai distributed the certificates to the UG and PG students of different Engineering branches.
Mr.M. Sivakumar, CEO, ICT Academy of Tamilnadu, facilitated the awardees.

IEDC - VMKVEC:
Programme on “Entrepreneurship Development” was conducted by IEDC cell, Faculty and students of VMKV Engineering College, Salem, on 19th August 2011. Dr.C.S.Ramanigopal, Dean Placement & Training introduced the Chief Guest Mr.E.Sarath Babu, Founder and CEO, Food King to the audience. Dr.A.Nagappan. Principal, VMKVEC, delivered the welcome address.
Mr.Sarath Babu in his keynote address explained in detail how he was brought up and reached the present position.
He advised the students to inculcate the habit of hard work, strong conviction to achieve the goal irrespective of whatever the adverse conditions and had a social objective in the career and life.
He further explained in detail the intricacies of how to become a successful entrepreneur citing his own success. In the interactive session, he enlightened the students with his vast experience and knowledge and guided them how to face the future challenges in their career, profession and in politics. |
