|Workshop on Familiarisation Programme On Thermal Power Plant Organized by All Dept,

A workshop was organized on "FAMILIARISATION PROGRAMME ON THERMAL POWER PLANT" for the students of Mechanical, Automobile, Aeronautical, Electrical and Electronics branches of Engineering for two days on 12th &13th OCT 2017 at the A/c Auditorium of the college. Mr.K.MUTHU KUMAR Deputy Director, Mr.S.SENTHIL KUMAR Assistant Director of National Power Training Institute Southern Region, Neyveli, Ministry of Power, Govt.
of India, were the resource persons. The inaugural session of the workshop was conducted on 12.10.2017. Dr.A.Nagappan, Principal of VMKV Engineering College presided over the inaugural session and advised the student to utilize the opportunity effectively and update their knowledge in the field of Power Plant Engineering. Dr.K.G.Muthurajan, Senior Professor of the Department welcomed the resources persons and the participants.
All the students from the above departments participated in the workshop. A technology enabled program imparting knowledge on the latest developments in the field of Power plant Engineering were explained to the students. The resource persons took lot of efforts in explaining the intricacies of the thermal power plants and the latest advancement in the technology in design and running of the present day power plants including the maintenance. The workshop was very useful and informative to the students and as well as to the faculty. The workshop was organized by Prof.N.Rajan, HOD, Department of mechanical engineering and assisted by other faculty of the Department.
