A Two Days "National Conference on Convergent Communication Technologies, Telemedicine Networking and Renewable Resources" [NC2CT2NR2 - 2017] was conducted by the department of ECE in association with Dr.A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Business Incubator, VMKVEC on 31.03.2017 and 01.04.2017 at VMKV Engineering College, Salem.
Dr.T.Muthumanickam, HOD/ECE, VMKV Engineering College welcomed the chief guest, the student participants from other colleges in and out of Tamilnadu, the sponsors ISTE- Tamilnadu, BSNL, IEEE-AESS madras section, IEEE students chapter, VMKVEC and knowledge partner ICTACT.
Dr.A.Nagappan, Principal, delivered the presidential address pinpointing the importance of the conference in convergent communication technologies, telemedicine networking and renewable resources.
The conference proceedings and CD were released by the Principal and was received by the Chief-Guest Dr.D.Vasudevan, Principal Scientist, CECRI, Karaikudi, Mr.N.Ramaswamy, Director, VMU, Salem, Mr.M.Balaji, Technical Director, Frontline electronics, Salem, Mr.I.Syed Farhadh Ali, Senior Vice president, I-Interchange systems Pvt, Ltd.
Dr.D.Vasudevan, Principal Scientist at Central Electro Chemical Research Institute (CECRI), Karaikudi delivered keynote address. In his address he stated about scope and development in renewable and non-renewable resources. He mentioned the importance of renewable resource to reduce global warming and to generate power in safe environment.
Mr.I.Syed Farhadh Ali, Senior Vice president, I-Interchange systems Pvt-Ltd, gave an inspirational speech in how to converge technical communication with business communication for grasping opportunities in the competitive world. He insisted the student communities to have ACE (Attitude, Communication, and Expertise) in their life, in order to adapt themselves in the changing business environment. He stated that each person should have alternate plans for a successful carrier.
Mr.M.Balaji, Technical Director, Frontline electronics, Salem, gave a technical lecture on Next generation Embedded Systems. He gave a clear idea on the microcontroller system and on chip components in microcontroller. His speech inspired the students to get into an entrepreneurship. He also stated that place is not the limit to achieve success.
The second day of the conference started with a keynote address on Telemedicine Networking by Mr. Rajkumar Mohandass, Research coordinate, Boston Scientific, Germany. He gave a clear idea about telemedicine networking and shared his research findings with the students.
Mr.C.Thiagarajan of our student alumni shared the processing steps for doing higher studies at foreign countries.
The valedictory function started with a conference report by Professor S.Selvaraju, followed by vote of thanks proposed by Professor S.MathanKumar.
Dr.P.Selvam, Professor & HOD/EEE distributed prizes and certificates to participants. All together, about 180 students were attended the two days conference.
