Physics department was started
in the year of 1987, with blessing of our beloved chairman,
in the name of Vinayaka Missions Kirupananda Variyar Engineering
College, during the time the department was affiliated by Madras
university later it was affiliated by two different universities
at different period namely Periyar university, Anna university,
based on the rules and regulation of AICTE till the year of
2003. From Aug 2004 onwards it is under Vinayaka Missions University.
In physics department all the staff members are regularly participating
and also they are presenting papers in various national and
international conferences, seminars, symposia and workshops.

To strengthen their knowledge the staff members
are attending orientation programme, refresher courses and faculty
development programme in regular intervals.
The following programme was conducted by the Physics department:
1. ISTE sponsored National level workshop on "Environmental
challenges and sustainable future" on 4th sep 2004.(associated
with chemistry department)
2. Personality development program to develop the career of
both students and faculties in the year 2004.
3. Workshop in "Nano science and technology" by science
club in the year 2006. |
