Department of Management Studies was established
in the year 1994 and offers two year full time MBA program on
campus and has plans to offer various management programmes,
short term courses including training programs in the near future.
A temple of learning DOMS provides an ambience for learning
par excellence nurturing creativity and fostering the thinking
of the dynamic young managers of the tomorrow. The Department
is well equipped with state of art technology to improvise the
learning and knowledge acquisition of the students. The other
assets are the rich intellectual capital on which we make constant
investments, corporate interaction, excellent Placement and
continuous training for personal enhancement and development.

Variyar Engineering College is designed to equip
the students with analytical, logical and reasoning skills with
acumen of business to identify and explore opportunities with
a vision of improving the quality of life of the people in the
community.
QUALITY OBJECTIVES
- To provide students an opportunity to equip themselves
with theoretical and practical knowledge on various facets
of management by maintaining consistently a high (85%) Pass
in all the subjects of Master of Business Administration
Course.
- To organize at least 2 Industrial visits and 10 guest
lectures to foster interaction for better understanding
of practical problems of organizations.
- To impart continuous training on communication skills
in English (Oral, written, speaking and listening) and to
improve their analytical ability and decision making skills
of the students, to face the real life problems.

CLASS ROOM: We have two class
rooms (360sqm each) with audio and OHP facilities for the capacity
of 60 students in each class room.
SYNDICATE ROOM: For conducting specialization
classes we have four syndicate rooms (60 sqm each) with audio
and OHP facilities for the capacity of 30 students in each class
room.
DEPARTMENT LIBRARY: We have an exclusive well
stacked library for MBA department. Also we have subscribed
National and International journals regularly.
COMPUTER CENTRE: We have a state - of - art
Computer laboratory with latest systems and software and Internet
facility.

a separate auditorium with the capacity of 150 students.
REST ROOM: We have a separate rest room for
boys and girls with recreational tools.
FUTURE PLAN:
o Research programmes such as M.Phil and Ph.D in Management
discipline.
o Job oriented Diploma Course in the area of Marketing, Sales,
Distribution, Human Resource, International Business can be
introduced.
o Short term programmes can be conducted to Business Community
in the following areas.

· Marketing Research.

o Management related Degree / Diploma / Certificate courses
through Distance Education.
