to comprehend the fundamentals of engineering and to successfully
obtain graduate degrees in engineering as well as in other
professions.
- A strong foundation in engineering areas relevant to current
industry needs to allow them to compete for quality jobs.
- An ability to apply design processes discipline which
will allow them to provide resourceful and innovative engineering
solutions.
- An ability to communicate effectively and to act with
social, ethical, and professional responsibility in their
encounter with those inside and outside the engineering
profession.
- An ability to use computers as a tool for analysis, design,
simulation, and control.
- Strong laboratory skills that will allow them to design
and conduct experiments with systems and instruments of
various complexity.
- An understanding of a need for lifelong learning and critical
thinking required for entrepreneurship, competitiveness,
leadership, and adaptation to new challenges.
- An understanding of social, business, industrial, and
human aspects as a complement to their engineering background.

Research
Many research activities are going on in the areas of Power
Electronics, Control systems and Machine Design. Many faculty
members are carrying out their PhD programmes. The PG students
are actively involved in research projects in various areas.
Association of Electrical and Electronic Engineers
The Association of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (AEEE)
of the department was inaugurated on 25th September, 2006. |
 |
The technical forum encourages the students
to involve in various co-curricular activities like group discussions,
aptitude tests, quiz programmes, soft skills etc. These activities
not only make the students to get placements in various companies
but also help them to improve their communication skills, leadership
qualities and team spirit.
The students regularly conduct seminars on contemporary themes
and participate in the intercollegiate symposiums. During semester
and vacation, the students are permitted to undertake industrial
visits for broadening their perspective about industries. They
are also permitted to undergo inplant training in various industries
for in-depth view and feel of skills such as technological,
managerial, entrepreneurial, manufacturing, testing and administrative.
